Battery Chargers Un-Switched and Inverter/Chargers Switched?

Jeff, In your YouTube videos, you say battery chargers go on un-switched circuits and inverters on switched circuits. Can you please explain whether to switch an inverter/charger and why it is whichever it is because now im confused. Thanks so much. - John

Battery chargers and inverter/chargers need to be connected to the positive unswitched (always on) positive distribution. The inverter/charger will have a dedicated on/off switch installed on the positive circuit, no other device can use this on/off switch. An inverter (not an inverter/charger) can be connected to the switched positive distribution, but it also needs a dedicated on/off battery switch.
