Which Propane Sensor Should I Buy?

Question:

Nereus Alarms Ltd is a UK brand and generally more expensive than North American brands. However, the sensors are waterproof and therefore do not require replacing as often. What do you think of these?

Answer:

I took some time to look at the Nereus Alarm Ltd product line. When choosing a propane detector it is always a good idea to choose one that has the ability of shutting off the propane supply remotely. On the upside, the waterproof sensor looks like a good product differentiator. On the downside, the high price (more than double) the conventional ones makes the decision harder to take. Consider that a spare propane detector sensor costs about $20.
