[Music]  hi Jeff Cote here with Pacific gout  systems what we're going to talk about  next is battery monitors and why you  should consider having one and what are  the benefits of having one on your both  ultimately a battery monitor is a really  good way for you to protect your  investment of your batteries if you want  to have your batteries last as long as  you think they should last and you're  always wondering why your batteries are  dying prematurely or they're not lasting  long and you're always wondering what  they're doing and how they're doing a  battery monitor takes all that guesswork  it's sort of a fuel gauge and a  speedometer for your batteries you'll  know the depth of discharge of your  batteries which is expressed as a  percentage so you don't have to figure  out what a volt means for your batteries  you'll know exactly in a readily  available information percentage and the  other thing that's really nice you'll  know also the rate at which you're  charging your batteries and the rate at  which you're discharging your batteries  all that information is key and if  you're ever out there and you're  wondering how things are going by  looking quickly at your battery monitor  you'll know exactly what's happening if  it's time to charge your batteries or  actually if sometimes you know maybe  you're gonna let them discharge even  further because you're actually been  managing your power better than you  thought you did so take the guesswork  out of that in managing your batteries  and have your batteries last longer by  getting a battery monitor installed in  your boat if you've got any questions  contact us at pacific yacht systems  thank you for watching
