Hi Jeff. Hope you doing well. What is the reason ABYC calls for a circuit breaker if the conductors are over 10' from the shore power inlet to the main AC panel? I can't find the "why" anywhere. Thanks! - Brad
Hi Brad, it’s all about circuit protection. Ideally, you’d want an even shorter amount of unprotected AC cabling inside the boat. The longer and unprotected the cable run the more likelihood of a fire in the event of a short. - Jeff
