I’m about to install a solar charging system, new house and start batteries with echo charger and new battery monitor. I’m also going to rewire the boat to separate the battery banks, bring all charging sources to the house bank and add distribution busses and proper fuses. All Beneteau boats I’ve owned have a negative ground disconnect switch in addition to the house and start battery disconnects. In all of your videos you do not mention a ground disconnect. Is it good or bad thing? - Scott
We typically do not switch the negative loads on board but this is something that a lot of European boats have the ability to do. It is an added layer of protection and isolation but isn’t required by ABYC standards.
