Hi Jeff, thank you for all the great knowledge you are giving back to the community! I recently bought 5 Sol-Go 160 flexible solar panels, based on your recommendation. I want to maximize output, is it always better to have 5 MPPT solar controllers? I have nothing against that but I am thinking of the extra cabling, installation, room and possibility to monitor via Cerbo GX, etc. - Hakan |

Considering that solar panels on sailboats experience varied shading conditions because of the mast, boom, stays, and shrouds, my suggestion is to install dedicated controllers per solar panel. For reference, that’s exactly how I did it on my own boat. - Jeff
