Jeff, I have rewatched your video and noticed that on my boat, I don’t have service disconnect switch for my 3kW Victron Quattro - surprise :)! Until I install a service disconnect switch, I thought I can achieve the same effect of the service disconnect switch by disengaging the breaker between the Quattro and battery? Of course I will also make sure that I would NOT disconnect from the shore power. Am I correct? - Andy
Removing the fuse to the inverter will disconnect the inverter from the DC supply, but a service switch will do this more smoothly, and the ‘spark’ that is inevitable when connecting an inverter will be mitigated by a service switch.
