Hello, I am considering installing a flexible solar panel directly on top of my hard t-top of my center console boat to help keep the batteries charged up while at the sand bar or fishing. I have seen some rigid panels installed for this, but can't find any photos or anecdotes of doing a flexible panel. Would you advise against a flexible setup secured directly to the hardtop with stainless hardware? |
An option we utilise a lot here in the Pacific Northwest is having marine grade flexible panels stuck to the hard top, this option looks appealing with the low profile and reduces the number of penetrations into the hard top. Some panels are even designed for foot traffic. Here’s a link to the flexible panels we offer, let us know if there is any questions. - https://www.pysystems.ca/shop/power/solar-panel/
