When Igor and Tanya heard Jeff Cote of PYS speak at a yacht club dinner, they realized that some of the work done by the previous owner of their MacGregor 26 - Ohana Honu was probably not up to code. In fact, they found it a bit scary to think about.
They approached Pacific Yacht Systems, who went over the boat and explained the many safety issues they were facing. As a result, they arranged for PYS to do what was required to make the boat safe, which included replacing the old flooded batteries and corroded inline fuses, and separating the battery loads to create house and engine banks. A Xantrex Linklite battery monitor and inverter were added to provide Ohana Honu with the conveniences of home.
"We’re looking forward to going out on our boat this season," states Tanya. "PYS made it the way it should have been."
“PYS staff were courteous and their work was clean,” says Tanya. “They did what we were hoping to have done.”
