Beneteau 31 - "Halfway Too"

Pete’s 31-foot Beneteau, Halfway Too, was built in 2008. Because some modifications had been made to its system, he felt an electrical audit was in order, and he arranged for Pacific Yacht Systems to carry this out.

PYS included Pete in the process and took the time to diagram the entire electrical system, explaining how everything worked. In doing so, they discovered that some of the electrical additions to the boat, while not particularly dangerous, were a bit “on the edge” in terms of safety. PYS prioritized their suggestions—Pete never had the feeling they were trying to make work for themselves.

"PYS demystified the system for me," Pete says, "and made me more aware of the electrical side of things. If I had any further work to be done, I would certainly use PYS if they were available."

Pete says PYS did the work incredibly well, without leaving any mess. Now he not only knows that his boat is safer, he has a better understanding of its system. “Anyone who has a relatively new boat would benefit from an electrical audit,” he says.
