Contest 35 - Discovery

When Tom decided to have a new autopilot installed on Discovery, his 35-foot Contest, he approached Pacific Yacht Systems for advice. He found PYS to be very explicit about the best way to go, recommending a Raymarine X-5 wheel autopilot, to be integrated with the boat’s existing chartplotter.

Tom describes the PYS technician’s work as meticulous and tidy. The project went very smoothly, he says, and my dealings with PYS were just fine. Navigating my boat is much easier now.

“My other autopilot was erratic,” states Tom, “and often jumped out of gear. I had to depend on a bungee cord hanging onto something solid to make it work. Now my autopilot, installed and commissioned by PYS, operates as it should.”

Q: Do the Raymarine Seatalk HS cables differ from one another? I'm networking a c90w and c140W and cannot use a weatherproof connection at both ends since the cable opening will not allow a weatherproof connection to fit through. What should I do?
