Bayliner Trophy 24 - Contentment

Mel was having problems with the autopilot on Contentment, his 24-foot Bayliner Trophy. Most autopilots are designed to work on boats that travel at high speed, but since Mel enjoys fishing, he typically goes slow.

Now I can fish by myself, says Mel. Before PYS installed and commissioned an autopilot specifically for my boat, it was difficult trying to steer at the same time as I had a fish on the line, especially on a windy day. The new autopilot makes a big difference.

So he contacted Pacific Yacht Systems, who spec’ed the right solution for him: an autopilot that works at the Contentment’s lower speeds. During the sea trial, Mel found the new GHP 10 autopilot was exactly what he needed. “PYS do really know what they’re doing,” he states.

Q: I have a strange situation. I have a radio and a blower fan on my boat. When I turn on the fan, the radio turns off. The fan switch is right beside the radio, but the fan is further forward. Any ideas?
